If you truly have market-sensitive information that is a trade secret, then you should protect it carefully and diligently. These are some of the guidelines you should follow:

  1. You should always try to avoid disclosure. This is the safest way to handle such data.
  2. Try to present data in a revocable manner, i.e. show it to the other party for review, but do not give them copies.

Don't waste time negotiating a specific NDA.
